This week we will be continuing the theme on intuition and working with the unconscious mind. Before I begin this week’s blog, I would like to share with you a testimonial.
The last two years have been extremely stressful, and I did not take full control of my health which is unusual for me. The result was a gain of excess pounds and the realization in January that I needed to get back on track. I was introduced to Melissa Deally and heard about her 21-day Detox Program and after a consultation decided to go for it. In three weeks, my health is stronger than it has been in a long time. Craving for sugar has gone, my mild asthma has cleared up, and I even gave up my nightly wine habit. And I’ve lost some of those pounds and on my way back to normal. Can’t recommend Melissa’s health program enough. If you have the will there is a way to get back on track with this program.

Tapping into Your Intuition Using EFT, Chakras, and NLP

In today’s blog I will be sharing with you some different healing modalities that you may not be aware of. There is one thing for certain the more I learn, the more I realize there is still more to learn. One new thing that I learned and spoke about in Episode 46 was Theta Healing. If you have not listened to that podcast, I would like to encourage you to go and take a listen.

Another one that I started practicing myself more recently, even though I have known about it for awhile, is called EFT.

What is EFT?

EFT stands for emotional freedom technique, or it is better known as tapping.

Tapping uses the meridians of the body – tapping is from a Chinese origin – The simplest definition is that a meridian is an energetic highway in the human body. Meridians allow for the flow of energy, known as Qi (pronounced “chee”), to circulate throughout the body. Meridians exist in corresponding pairs and each meridian has multiple acupuncture points along the pathway.

With tapping we are not using acupuncture, but instead using our own fingers and tapping on the points. One very common way is to start tapping with two fingers on each side, on the inside of your eyebrows, doing one side at a time. Start on the right-hand side of your body and move all the way down one side at a time.  Once you are done with the right-hand side of your body, go and do the same thing down the left side of your body. However, you can also tap down both sides of the body at the same time!

The beautiful thing about this is that there is not a right or wrong way to do tapping.

How Do You Tap?

I am going to explain to you the steps I take when I am using EFT and tapping.

I like to use both of my hands, starting at the inner eyebrows, then going to the outer edge of my eyebrow, then I move to tapping  underneath my eyes, just at the top of my cheek. Then I use just one hand, but two fingers, and tap on my upper lip, just between the nose and my lip then I go down to the dimple in my chin. Once I am done with that, I go back to two hands tapping on the inside nodules of my collarbone. From there you can cross your arms over your body and tap on each side of your body about where your bra strap is, and from there tap at the crown of your head.

As you are tapping what you are doing is you are speaking experiences that you have been through. For example, a negative experience that you want to be released from. We are talking through the negative emotions and bringing them to the forefront, as we are tapping. From there we tap through the positive emotions because so much of what we tell ourselves isn’t even true. We carry all those emotions we had from our childhood about the way certain events happened, but we must ask ourselves is “Are those memories and emotions really true?” In doing this,  we can then shift the negative emotions to the positive emotions and release the negative stuck energy.

I am in no way an expert, but I have been following Nick Ortner from the Tapping Solution and learning from him as well as Margaret Lynch who has written multiple books on tapping.  You can also google “tapping” online and find tapping scripts that are relevant to your life.

Another area that i’m diving into learning more about, are our Chakras.

What Are Chakras?

Chakras come from India – The word chakra literally means “wheel” in Sanskrit and symbolizes the flow of energy in our body. The 7 chakras present in our body are energy centers and are known to regulate emotions. Their origin can be traced to early Hinduism and Buddhism and both talk about the shifting nature of chakras.

The 7 chakras in our body, starting from the bottom of our body and going up are:

  • Root chakra. The root chakra, or Muladhara, is located at the base of your spine and represented by RED and is associated with the physical and material world, it impacts your sense of stability and security in your life.
  • Sacral chakra. The sacral chakra, or Svadhisthana, is located just below your belly button, and represented by ORANGE, and is the centre of your creativity and sexuality, allowing you to be open to new experiences, pleasure and joy!
  • Solar plexus chakra and represented by the color YELLOW and is associated with your inner power and self confidence. It is the core of your personality, identity and ego.
  • Heart chakra and represented by the color GREEN and of course is related to love, compassion, gratitude and forgiveness. To have a  happy, healthy life, you must have these qualities.
  • Throat chakra and represented by the color BLUE and is all about expression, how we use words to express our heart chakra emotions, as well as inspire and empower others with our words.
  • Third eye chakra and represented by the color INDIGO. This chakra is all about vision and controls your intuition and decision making.
  • Crown chakra at the top of our head and represented by the color VIOLET and represents your spiritual connection and general well-being and your higher level of consciousness.

These are all important parts of our body that can have stuck energy, stuck emotions, and when we tap into doing work with our Chakra’s we can release this as well. Each chakra holds a different type of energy and blockages can happen in more than one area and for each of us the area(s) that are blocked can be different.

The next healing modalities I want to share about are NLP.

What is NLP?

NLP is the most recent modality that I have been trained in. It stands for ‘neurolinguistic programming” or better known as NLP, and has been around since the 1980s.

Neuro relates to the nervous system, which is the mind, through which our experience is processed through the 5 senses.

Linguistic is the language and other non-verbal communication systems through which our neural network representations are ordered and coded and given meaning. This includes pictures, sounds, feelings, tastes and smells and the words we use, aka our self-talk.

Programming relates to the ability to discover and utilize the programs we run inside ourselves, the things we do inside our heads, and that others do so that we can achieve our own specific and desired outcomes.

We are all like cell phones running a bunch of apps, that we can upgrade, delete, and update!!!  Some of the apps have been running since we were 3 or 4 years old and our now outdated!

In NLP we can re-wire the brain chemistry, it’s very quick!

It can feel overwhelming as your brain is learning these new techniques, but once you get used to doing them, they will become second nature, just like driving a car. It will become second nature.

As Doctor Daniel Amen says, change your brain, change your life!

Remember from my last episode of my Podcast I said intuition is the “knowing” ‘without the need for conscious reasoning.   All the work with do in NLP, Timeline Therapy and Hypnotherapy is also done without conscious reasoning, so I just wanted to share my new programs with you here. Each of these programs uses multiple modalities and the number of sessions for each program will vary.

1. Detox Your Trigger Foods

Remove up to 3 foods, to put you back in the driver’s seat of your eating habits, instead of feeling like a slave to your cravings.

2. Detox Your Emotions Mini-breakthrough

With this mini breakthrough program, you’ll release your negative, toxic emotions and one limiting belief that is holding you back, plus enjoy a mindset shift that puts you on the path of achieving what you want.

3. Full Mind-Body Detox & Breakthrough

This program is for people who are frustrated and feeling stuck with the way things are. This program removes limiting beliefs and toxic emotions, while also silencing your toxic, negative self talk. You will then clearly see all the new possibilities, that you couldn’t previously see. New strategies and quantum goals will be installed into the unconscious mind, so your success is inevitable.

4. Ongoing Detox Maintenance Sessions

Enjoy monthly tune-ups of hypnotherapy sessions or timeline therapy and coaching session to ensure you don’t slip back into a toxic state, but continue moving forward.

5. Learning Strategies For Kids

Do you have a child that has been diagnosed as ADHD and/or dyslexic? Did you know that they might just need to have their learning strategies re-organized in their brain and be given some tools and strategies to work with, which will boost their grades, their confidence and belief in themselves? No prescription drugs, no more labels, no more stress, no more feelings of ‘not being smart enough’.

So Let Me Ask You – How Do You Talk To Yourself?

We have 70,000 thoughts in our head in a day, and when you are talking to yourself, what do you say?

“If you talked to your friends the way you talk to yourself, would you have any friends?”

Would you? Probably not.

We are so quick to beat ourselves up!

We don’t celebrate our wins but instead beat ourselves up repeatedly with our losses.

We must learn to detox those thoughts as well.

This is super powerful work, adding on to the physical detox of the body, and then changing your mindset.

A lot of our negative self-talk is there because it is our “way” of protecting ourselves from the emotions we are not wanting to feel. We can change those thoughts, and help you become the person you were meant to be!
